Before IV Anesthesia
If you are having IV Anesthesia for your procedure it is important you follow these instructions prior to your appointment

You may not have anything to eat or drink for eight (8) hours prior to the appointment.

If you are taking medications please take them as usual unless instructed otherwise by our office. You may take these with a small sip of water prior to your appointment - for example if you are taking high blood pressure medicine continue to take it.

If you are experiencing any cold or flu symptoms prior to your scheduled appointment please inform the doctor.

A responsible adult must accompany the patient to the office and drive the patient home.

The patient should not drive a vehicle or operate any machinery for 24 hours following the IV anesthesia.

Please wear loose fitting clothing with sleeves which can be rolled up past the elbow, and low-heeled shoes.

Contact lenses, jewelry, and dentures must be removed at the time of surgery.

Do not wear lipstick, excessive makeup, or nail polish on the day of surgery.
